Roots. Ideas. Creation.
Ancient wisdom meets modern curiosity. I make calm, research-backed content that traces the roots of India's cultural practices — and reveals why they still matter.
Who I am
I'm Hengul — a creator and thinker from Assam, India. My work lives at the intersection of ancient Indian knowledge and modern life. I believe most of what we've labelled "superstition" or "ritual" carries a depth of insight our ancestors distilled over centuries — and that this wisdom deserves to be uncovered, not discarded.
Through research, storytelling, and a deep reverence for roots, I create content that asks not just what a practice is — but why it exists, and what it might still teach us today.
YouTube Channel
Root Sense is a calm, research-backed YouTube channel that explores the wisdom behind India's ancient cultural practices — fasting, rituals, festivals, and forgotten traditions. Primarily in Assamese with English subtitles, each video traces a root, reveals its purpose, and connects it to modern science and daily life.
